"Most people can live a perfectly normal life and have a Disability."

Yes, another stamp regarding living with a disability XD

As you all know my story regarding my disability, I won't bore you with that anymore :P And I know some of you also suffer from a disability, whether it be mental or physical. And we (well, most xD) of us get on with it alright, hm?

So why am I always seeing comments/stamps from the interwebz all:

"I'd kill myself if I were disabled."
"OMG! You're disabled?"
"How do you live with yourself?"
"I don't believe in mental illness."
"If I were physically disabled I'd give up on everything."
"If you claim disability benefits permanently you might as well go kill yourself!"

And so on...

The reason why I say MOST people, is because some people can't live what we consider a normal life due to their disability. Some people are just born that way, others it happens gradually or they were involved in an accident. And they have to be permanently looked after by their family/carer. I know someone who's sister suffers from an extreme case of Autism, she's nineteen years old and she can't talk, she can't walk and she has to wear nappies. The girl has got the mental age of a 1 year old.

But then there's less extreme cases of Autism, like my brother for example. He might not be able to live on his own, but he's at college obtaining a Diploma in Mechanics. He might not be smart once it comes to things like reading and writing, but at other subjects like Maths and Science? He's a smart kid!

So what about you lot? Do you live (mostly) normal lives?
